Absolutely. Most campers arrive on their own, and everyone leaves as friends, often with a new group chat that lasts all year. Camp Diabetes is designed to make meeting people of all ages easy and fun. Bring an open mind and a young-at-heart attitude, and we'll handle the rest.

Yes. Each camper may bring one plus-one. Your guest can be diabetic or non-diabetic.

Totally. Camp Diabetes runs on kindness and inclusion. Showing up solo can feel intimidating, so our staff and counselors step in fast to help you settle in and meet people. You will have a seat at every meal, a group for every activity, and people to hang with from day one. By the first night, the nerves fade and camp starts to feel like your place.

Camp Diabetes sits in the Rocky Mountains of western Montana, on a 250-acre waterfront along the west shore of Flathead Lake, about 40 miles southwest of Glacier National Park.
Directions
The camp is located on the west side of Flathead Lake, along Highway 93, 15 miles south of Kalispell.From 93, turn on Lutheran Camp Road which is between mile markers 94 and 95. After a half mile, turn left at the “Y.” The parking lot is another half mile down the road.
Transportation
We recommend flying into Glacier Park International Airport (FCA). It is about 35 minutes to camp with no traffic.We are working to provide shuttles from FCA. Plan to arrive around 2:00 PM for best shuttle availability. We expect shuttles to run until 3:00 PM. Rideshare demand can be high in smaller towns, so timing matters.

Check-in: Friday at 3:00 PM
Check-out: Sunday at 12:00 PM
Airport shuttles will start at 12:00 PM on Sunday. If you are not heading to the airport at noon, arrange your own transportation after check-out. -
If you’re arriving before the official 3:00 PM check-in, you’re welcome to arrive at camp as early as 1:00 PM. Complimentary shuttles from FCA Airport will begin running at 12:30 PM.
If your flight arrives well before then, FCA Airport is a comfortable place to relax. There’s also several great restaurants and coffee shops in Lakeside where you can hang before heading to camp.
Early check-in begins at 1:00 PM, where you’ll enjoy light snacks, have time to relax and connect with other campers at the Pavilion. You’ll also meet your camp counselor before the official check-in begins.
At 3:00 PM, cabins will open! You’ll receive your cabin assignment and the full Camp Diabetes experience officially begins!

Yes. Charging is available in cabins. Cell service is extremely limited, and we encourage you to disconnect and be present for the weekend.

Bring all personal diabetes supplies, including insulin, pump or CGM supplies, chargers, and glucagon. Make sure to pack enough for the full weekend plus extra for backups.

Yes. We will have medical staff on site, including two paramedics who live with diabetes and a nurse.

Camp Diabetes supports a wide range of dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options.
Add your restrictions during registration and our dietary team will have your info ready when you arrive, so you feel taken care of from the first meal to the last. If you need gluten-free or vegan snacks, we strongly encourage you to bring your own preferred options.

Yes. All main meals and scheduled snacks are included.
Friday: check-in snack, dinner, and nighttime snack (HS snack)
Saturday: breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, and HS snack
Sunday: brunch, plus snacks available before departure

Yes. Low snacks will be available at all times at designated “Low Stations” and with every camp counselor. Each Low Station and counselor will have juice, glucose meters with strips and lancets, glucagon, and additional options like glucose tabs, gummies, and 15g snacks.

Yes. Bring any favorites or specific items you prefer.

Yes. Water and a sugar-free drink option (Crystal Light) will be available at all times. Bring your own reusable water bottle. We strongly encourage it.

No vapes, cigarettes, marijuana, or illegal substances are allowed on campgrounds. If someone violates this policy, they will be asked to leave immediately.
Alcohol will be available during certain activities and served by a licensed server.
